New York City is a playground for photographers. Extremes of natural and artificial light envelop this mega metropolis surrounded by reflective water. Under this light amongst an all borough backdrop there is a strange allure to the grit and the grace of the streets, the dereliction and deviance. And to photograph this city is to try to translate its crackling energy, to connect with the past and present lives of fellow New Yorkers, and ensnare urban life in a New York minute to drag it out. Savor it. If New York city is a jungle then this is my heed to the call of the wildstyle…in color and in black & white photographs.
